Dr. Tammy Ouellette has a private practice in Fullerton, California where she has been focusing on Health and Neuropsychology since she acquired her Psychology License in 2005. Dr. Ouellette holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton: with Honors, a master’s degree in Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Health emphasis track from California School of Professional Psychology, now Alliant International University. Prior to settling in the Fullerton area, Dr. Ouellette received supervised training in a variety of settings including: Kaiser Hospital Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit, Pre and Post-Doctoral Fellowships at St. Jude Medical Center, Holy Name of Mary K-8th grade private school therapist and in private practice. Dr. Ouellette has conducted research in the area of cognitive remediation and co-authored an article describing the benefits of computer-assisted cognitive remediation. She has engaged in several educational speaking engagements to other healthcare providers as a continuing education provider on topics such as psychosocial functioning in cancer patients, mental health engagement and referral process from providers, increasing motivation and change in the medical patient, and mind-body health topics. She instructs small education classes on meditation/mindfulness, weight loss, stress reduction, communication skills, psychology/life 101 class, anger management, loss and grief and bereavement, and coping with medical changes. Dr. Ouellette screens and evaluates others utilizing specialized assessment tools, facilitates groups, instructs classes, and engages in psychotherapy with adults. The majority of Dr. Ouellette’s continued education has been focused on the needs of her community and her individual patient’s needs. She is a contracted service provider to several of the largest health care insurance companies in the nation, as well as multiple local carriers. For nearly 15 years, Dr. Ouellette has assisted in making differential diagnoses with medical professionals, learning new techniques, and has been assisting members of the community to increase self-awareness, coping skills, adjustment to change, and overall growth and wellness.
Dr. Ouellette strives to remain genuine, understanding, and sensitive to the needs of her unique patients. She welcomes each individual with compassion, while remaining focused on setting healing goals. Driven by promoting resilience, providing education, and helping others, Dr. Ouellette examines each individual’s neuro-psycho-social-biological history.
Dr. Ouellette was born and raised in Southern California. She currently resides with her fiancée, she has 6 children/stepchildren, is a softball coach who also conducts performance enhancement training and has an inseparable Weimaraner named Kai.
